January 17th, 2011  Ann Marie Sweeney of the RVSPCA lost her battle with cancer on January 14th. Ann Marie was a vital part of the foster care program, giving over 5,000 pets a second chance at life during her time with the program. A Memorial page has been established for her on Facebook, and donations to the foster care program can now be made to the Ann Marie Sweeney Memorial Foster Care Fund. In celebration of her life, the RVSPCA is hosting a party January 28th at The Village Grill located on Memorial Ave in Roanoke City.
